Once you are familiar with the fundamentals, there is lots more you can do to learn more about Maple.
From your first steps in Maple to specialized topics, this collection of videos will show you the way.
Want to jump right in and start trying things? There’s a large collection of hands-on tutorials and “How do I…?” topics inside Maple, which will guide you in your explorations or help you out if you get stuck. To see all these resources in one place, visit the Maple Portal (available online, or search for “MaplePortal” in the Help System).
You can also find lots of answers and examples in the Maple Help System, which is available from the Help menu and online. When you view the Help inside Maple, you have the option of opening the page as a regular Maple document so you can modify and execute the examples.
The Maple User Manual provides a comprehensive overview, and covers topics including information for new users, mathematical problem solving, document formatting, basic programming, and application creation. If you are looking for even more, the Maple Programming Guide is ready when you are. Both manuals are included in the Help System (Help>Maple Help, then find the links in the Manuals section on that page), or you can find PDFs in the Maplesoft Documentation Center.
There are literally thousands of Maple applications available through the Maple Application Center and the MapleCloud. Here are some collections to get you started:
You can connect with Maplesoft experts and experienced user to get answers to your questions.
A lot of Maple is designed specifically to help with learning mathematical concepts. Here are some things to look for:
Math Apps and interactive calculators for exploring concepts and solving problems – inside Maple (Tools > Math Apps) or online!
Point-and-click learning tools for most key topics in calculus, linear algebra, and more, such as a tutors for solving integrals step-by-step, visualizing volumes of revolution, or row reducing matrices. In Maple, see Tools > Tutors.
Student packages in Maple offer focused learning environments where you can explore and reinforce fundamental concepts in the same way your instructor does in class, for calculus, precalculus, linear algebra, statistics, and more. See the Student help page (search, or enter ?Student), and also Tools > Tutors for quick access to the tutors.
Learn about kinematics and dynamics, control systems, heat transfer and more.
